Stealth bomber is bang on target
- MOTORING NEWS
A STEALTH bomber is creeping up on the luxury SUV scene.
It comes in the shape of a Range Rover Sport model sporting a stylish new set of design features.
Called the Stealth Pack, the optional extras will be available on HSE Dynamic and Autobiography Dynamic derivatives and will be shown for the first time at next week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The order book opens in July and first customer deliveries are expected towards the end of the year.
The Stealth Pack features eye-catching touches like a satin black front grille and grille surround, fog lamp bezels, bonnet and fender vents, upper mirror caps and tailgate finisher.
There’s also a Stealth finish on non-reflective headlamp and tail lamp surfaces along with a choice of 21-inch nine-spoke, or 22-inch five-spoke wheels, in satin black finish with wheel nuts in gloss black.
Land Rover’s design director Gerry McGovern said: “With the addition of the Stealth Pack we are further extending the appeal of the Range Rover Sport and offering even greater choice to our customers.”
Winner of more than 50 global awards since launch, the Sport is the fastest, most agile Land Rover ever and is available in a choice of 18 exterior colours.
Customers have a choice of three engines – the 4.4-litre SDV8 diesel with 339PS, the 3.0 SDV6 diesel with 292PS and the 5.0 V8 supercharged petrol with 510PS and 0-60mph time of 5.0 seconds.
It has been engineered to deliver dramatically improved on-road driving dynamics while retaining the brand’s trademark off-road capability.
Its upgraded air suspension system automatically varies between two ride heights, while the Terrain Response 2 system automatically selects the most suitable terrain programme.
The Stealth Pack costs £1,700 with 21-inch wheels or £2,500 with the larger rims.
