Juliette & The Licks – Long Road Out of Here

News that Juliette & The Licks have re-formed for a surprise European tour means there’s at least one must-see rock act to hunt down this spring.

Juliette, aka Los Angeles actress Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Kalifornia) has been round the block – drug addiction, under-age driving, school drop-out, dated Brad Pitt.

She can also sing. And while this slowburner from the band’s 2005 album You’re Speaking My Language isn’t one to perforate the eardrums, it’s a song we really like.

Catch the band at FestEVOL (Camp and Furnace, Liverpool) on May 1 and at Heaven, London, on May 4.
