MINI has lifted the wraps on the first all-wheel drive model to be built at its UK plant in Oxford.
The new MINI Clubman ALL4 marks the brand’s continued advance into the premium compact area of the new car market.
And the all-wheel drive system, previously only offered on Countryman models, has been specially redeveloped to ensure sportier handling and improved versatility.
Latest MINI Clubman models were launched last October and now the ALL4, available as either a Cooper S petrol or Cooper SD diesel, joins the party.
The 2.0-litre petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo in the Cooper S is the latest example of MINI’s engine technology.
Offering 192bhp, the Cooper S Clubman ALL4 is mated with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, and optionally with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission.
Fuel consumption is 40.9mpg with the manual transmission (44.8 auto) and CO2 emissions are 159g/km (146g/km auto).
In the case of the Cooper SD Clubman ALL4 there’s a 190bhp diesel unit paired with the eight-speed Steptronic transmission as standard.
Fuel consumption on the combined cycle is 58.9mpg with CO2 emissions of 126g/km.
Standard kit highlights include the likes of sat-nav and the MINI Excitement Package – a projection of the brand logo on to the ground beneath the driver’s side door mirror when the car is opened and closed – and extended interior lighting.
Customer deliveries are due in April and prices are £24,305 for the MINI Cooper S Clubman ALL4 (£25,985 auto) and £27,410 for the diesel (auto only).
