The fiery new Jaguar F-TYPE SVR supercar will make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March ahead of hitting the streets this summer.
Capable of 200mph, the newcomer is the first Jaguar SVR and has been developed to exploit the two-seat aluminium sports car’s full potential.
Lighter and more powerful than any other F-TYPE, the promise from Jaguar is that the SVR will also take dynamics and driver involvement up a notch while retaining the car’s everyday driving characteristics.
John Edwards, head of Jaguar Land Rover special operations, said: “The new F-TYPE SVR is the first series production Jaguar to be developed by Special Vehicle Operations and benefits from everything we know about precision engineering, performance and design.
“The result is a 200mph, all-weather supercar that you can drive every day – we even made a convertible version so that enthusiasts can revel in the sound from the new titanium exhaust system.”
The SVR is the first high performance production model to come out of the special operations stable, which engineered the exclusive F-TYPE Project 7 – all 250 units of which are sold.
The unit is responsible for vehicle personalisation products and low volume, high value Limited Edition models for both Jaguar and Land Rover.
