Sundowners – Hummingbird
The Sundowners, a five-piece from Wirral, conjure up images of the Summer of Love with their psychedelic pop/rock sounds bound together by the cool harmonies of Niamh Rowe and Fiona Skelly. Hummingbird from their newly-released debut album was the first song they played together as a band and slides you back to the West Coast era of the Byrds, Mamas and Papas, Lovin Spoonful and Jefferson Airplane – with a 21st century twist. Heady stuff.
